Abstract

The human and nature relation, historically, has had diverse stages as exploitation, taming, or mutual benefit. Pilar Quintana’s novel La perra is a critic to this relation. In the present essay, it will be analyzed how relation between nature in contemporaneous narration, especially in this novel, has ceased to be a subjugating entity or that allows learning for whom relate with it.

    Literature and Linguistic graduate from the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla; specialized in 20th Century Mexican Literature from the Universidad Autónoma de México (UAM) and is currently enrolled in a master’s degree course of Hispanic American Literature at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
    Her works are mainly focused on Mexican science fiction, from its history to its analysis. Additionally, she has participated in manifold academic forums “Foro Nacional de estudiantes de Lingüística y Literatura de la Universidad de Sonora” and “Seminario de Estéticas de Ciencia Ficción-Cenidiap” for instance. She has published the “Amado Nervo, precursor de la ciencia ficción mexicana” article in Universidad de Sonora PROEMIO journal.
