Philosophy of Technology, Step-by-step process, local and technologicalAbstract
One of the main challenges that Philosophy is currently facing is the problematization of attributing a universal meaning to the concept of technology. Traditionally, technology has been conceived and discussed from a perspective that universalizes it, without considering the local nature of the concept. This dossier aims to explore the philosophical implications of decoupling the concept of technology from its presumed universal nature and expanding the discourse surrounding its relationship with locality, regional contexts, the communal, and the singular. We invite contributions that seek to expand the scope of the philosophy of technology in Mexico and Latin America, providing new insights into this continually evolving field.
