Abstract

Almost twenty years after the first edition of El azar de los hechos, by Cosme Álvarez, readings that were not detected at the time are now discovered and appreciated. Cosme’s unmistakable voice evokes those born in Mexico City, where the needed expression to our poetry is felt and heard within.

Author Biography

José Manuel Recillas, Academia Mexicana de Poesía

President and founder of the Academia Mexicana de Poesía, he was awarded the Premio Nacional de Ensayo Crítico Evodio Escalante 2016 for his text Catábasis y θεία μανία, as well as the X Premio Internacional de Poesía Gilberto Owen Estrada 2015-2016. He has published poetry books such as Atrévete a mirar, tú, que no quieres (2016) and essay books as Aproximaciones al expresionismo (2004) and Retrato de ciudad con sinfonía (2018).
