Abstract

The essay arouses in the reader’s mind the question why the society in which we live assumes that absolutely everything has a solution and the consequences of this pursuit, by means of a brief journey through the beginnings of Bronze and Iron ages.

Author Biography

Óscar de la Borbolla, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México

Philosopher by training and by trade writer. He holds a Master of Philosophy from the UNAM. He is a lecturer of Philosophy at the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Acatlán, tenured professor in the area of Metaphysics and Ontology.

Coordinator of college workshops, of cultural centers and of the CNIPL, INBA. Teacher at the SOGEM School of writers. In 1987 he was awarded the Premio Internacional de Cuento Plural for Las esquinas del azar and the Premio Nacional de Humor in 1991 for Nada es para tanto. Author of books such as Las vocales malditas (1988), Filosofía para inconformes (1996), La libertad de ser distinto (2010), El arte de dudar (2017) and La rebeldía de pensar (2019) among others. He is currently working with Sin Embargo.
