Abstract

The work of Cornelius Castoriadis is one of the most powerful and original bets and proposals that seeks to rethink the human condition from the intersection between ontology, politics, ethics and education as an alternative to the current crisis of civilization. His profoundly creative thought consists in examine the human being from the radical imagination as a way of raffle all determinism and all catastrophism. His critical work displays a radical creation that has no precedent in heritage philosophy as a whole. Here some themes and problems of contemporary society are addressed from some Castorian ideas. Thinking with Castoriadis entails opening the present to the infinite game of its creative opening.

Author Biography

Sigifredo Esquivel-Marin, Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas

Essayist, Hata Yoga instructor, professor-researcher in the Unidades de Filosofía y Letras and in Docencia Superior at Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas. He has received several national and international awards and recognitions.

Author of several books, including Pensar desde el cuerpo. Tres filósofos poetas: Spinoza, Nietzche y Pessoa, Tijuana, 2006; Imágenes de la imaginación, 2006; Pensar con Deleuze, Derivas entre el arte, filosofía y cultura, Zacatecas 2020.
