Abstract

Based on Deleuze’s and Foucault’s premises, the author explores the connection between the individual and architecture. In this way, he widens the concept conceiving the work in itself, this is, the physical object and its relationship with the discourse, which depends on the historical moment and the context of development.

Author Biography

Alejandro Hernández-Gálvez, Revista Arquine

He is architect, editor, critic and curator of architecture. He collaborates as columnist on the Reforma newspaper and on several magazines such as Arquine and Letras Libres, among others. Co-curator of the show “Mexico City Dialogues” (in New York), he has participated in the São Paulo, Rotterdam, Venice and Canary Islands architecture biennales. He is co-author of the book “100x100 Architects of the 20th century in Mexico” (2011) and author of Sombrillas, sombreros, sombras. De los principios de la arquitectura (2013).
