Abstract

Does anyone still doubt it? Our planet is undergoing an unprecedented revolution. The fundamental processes that regulate Earth’s dynamics and the composition of ecosystems have been deeply altered by human activity. To refer to this phenomenon, the term “Anthropocene” has captured the interest of the humanities in the last decade, as it not only accounts for a drastic alteration in natural and social conditions, but also marks a turning point in the way we usually conceive the relation between humans and their environment.
