This critique introduces the PhD thesis “Virtual Biodiversities and Digital Knowledges”, a critical study of the digital library Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL) which seeks to understand the epistemic construction in the matter of Latin American biodiversity in order to advance the digital decolonization agenda and promote an ethical approach to the narratives of the region and its human and non-human inhabitants.
