Author Biography

  • Wilson Alves-de-Paiva, Universidade Federal de Goiás

    Professor at the Education Faculty in the Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG) and the Postgraduate Program in Educación (PPGE), with a PhD in Philosophy of Education from the Universidad de São Paolo (USP) and a master's degree in ethical and political philosophy from the UFG. He has postdoctoral internships in culture and education at the Universidad de Calgary (ucalgary) and philosophy of aesthetics and teaching from the Sorbonne Université in France. He was a visiting scholar at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and the Universidad de Complutense de Madrid.

    Wilson Alves de Paiva specializes in the works of Rousseau, focusing on Emilio or la Educación. He is a member of the Rousseau Association in the United States, the LSA-Lusophone Studies Association (Canada), and other associations and research groups in Brazil and other countries. He coordinates the Iberoamerican study group, which focuses on Rousseau. Alves de Paiva has experience in education, with an emphasis on Education Philosophy, working mainly on the following disciplines: Educational Theories, Culture and Education, Brazilian Education, Political Philosophy, Philosophy of education and Aesthetics.
