Abstract

This is a compilation of an unpublished interview with Luis Herrera de la Fuente, composer and conductor. Through it, a glance at his career, his works and his vision on the pillars of music and relevant aspects of his career as a musician and performer, as well as a conductor of symphony orchestras. The influence of Monteverdi and other classics on him is also mentioned.

Author Biography

Graciela Carrazco-López, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México

She is an academic at the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Acatlán of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. She holds a PhD in Pedagogy from the UNAM with a postdoctoral stay at the Research Institute for the Development of Education (INIDE) of the Universidad Iberoamericana.

Research interests: Intellectual generations and epistemic networks, groups and communities.
