FIGURAS REVISTA ACADÉMICA DE INVESTIGACIÓN sets and builds up -through the act of writing- the act of transforming, tracing or representing in each publication the findings that authors lay on each of the three sections covered in this publication.
In this issue, the Perspectives section includes three articles that demonstrate the multidisciplinary development of FIGURAS REVISTA ACADÉMICA DE INVESTIGACIÓN “How to Write a Research Project in Ten Steps and Not Die Trying” exposes and analyzes the constituent elements of a research project in a brief and sequential manner; “From Guido Guinizzelli to Dante Alighieri. A Philosophical Perspective on Chapter XX from Vita nova or the Originis of “Amor, ch’a nullo amato amar perdona” revises chapter XX of the Vita nova and shows how it leads to canto V of the Commedia, and “Dante’s Beatriz: Subject of a Poem and Handbook of Philosophy” explains Beatriz as a divinized human presence who, already in Paradise, is shown as a philosophical voice, expert in theology.
In the section Scenarios, three essays and a translation (as an essay on the process itself) are grouped: “Peer in Greatness: Carl Lumholtz and Balbino Dávalos”, “Translation as a metaphor”, “Sciencia poiesis est: Poetic Devices in Scientific Texts” and “Christina Rossetti (1830-1894). Poems. Selection and Spanish Version by Hernán Bravo Varela”. The texts in this section force us (as is the inherent condition of the essay) to pay attention to the diverse meanings -all important- of translation, whether scientific or literary works, which allows us to access and expand the universal cultural panorama, as well as to enter into different worlds that nourish and remain in an endearing way in our knowledge and memory.
The Resonances section includes one critical review “A Republican Ghost: Poetry and Exile from Antonio Machado to Tomás Segovia”.”, which is a critical review of the monographic study This Ghostly Poetry: History and Memory of Exiled Spanish Republican Poets; “The Intellectual Exile of Jose Vasconcelos and the Creation of the “Secretaría de Educación Pública”. Reflections on the Origins of Educational Policy in Mexico” which discusses the first intellectual exile of José Vasconselos, and, finally “Intellectual Independence in the Training of Researchers: Attitudes, Skills and Environments” which reviews a work on intellectual independence in research training that transcends the boundaries of the academic context.
